Terms of use

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These terms cover the Lexo app and this website, made by Lexo Learning Co. (“we”). By using them you agree to these terms. If you get the app from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

Using Lexo

You may use Lexo for your own personal, non-commercial reading and learning. Please don’t copy, redistribute or resell the books, audio or other content from the app, try to get around how purchases and downloads work, or interfere with the service.

Purchases and subscriptions

Books, extra levels and the Lexo Plus subscription are sold through the App Store, and Apple handles payment, billing, refunds and cancellations. A book is one novel in one language at one level. Lexo Plus renews monthly until you cancel it in your App Store settings; each renewal adds two credits, and unused credits roll over up to a total of eight. Credits have no cash value and can only be used in Lexo. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy.

A book you’ve bought stays yours to download and read as long as Lexo is offered. Some editions are written when they’re first requested; we’ll finish any edition you’ve bought, and if we ever can’t, you can ask Apple for a refund.

The books

The novels in Lexo are classics in the public domain. Lexo’s editions of them (the adapted texts, translations, glosses and narration) are produced with the help of AI models and belong to us. They’re made with care for learners, but they’re adaptations: they aren’t word-for-word translations of the originals, and they can contain mistakes. Please don’t rely on them as authoritative translations.

Our service

We work hard to keep Lexo available and correct, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Lexo after a change means you accept it.
